Hera is already clothed and she has put perfume, she is ready to seduce. Now the second part comes: in order not to make a mistake, she wants to put the Afrodites magical belt, which is like aphrodisiac for men. The problem is, that Afrodites is in favour of the opposite side and she will not give the belt to Hera, when she finds out why she needs it. She lies to her. She comes to her saying: "My dear, will you please listen to me, while I take Danaj side while you take Troja?"
And she explains to her, that she is trying to settle up marital problems between Okean and Tetida, her adoptive parents, who have not talked nor slept together for a long time.
The intriguer persuaded Afrodita, and gained from her embroided ribbon with a lot of tantalizing signs: "There was hidden miracle and seductiveness, flatteries. She gave it to her hand and she said her name: "Take this ribbon and put it on your breast. There is everything in it. And I think you will be successful in doing what your heart longs for." Let us continue in the text, because nothing is redundant in it. "She said and Hera laughed, the Goddess of big eyes and with a smile she accepted the ribbon and put it on her breast." She went to another God, Sleep, brother of Death and asked him to put Zeus to sleep after making love. She promised him golden cushion with small table, to relax his legs by feast, but her suggestion frightened him. Sleep is ready to put to sleep any God but Zeus- the highest Lord, "you are forcing me to the action, which I cannot take".
Hera is an imp and she changes the tactics, starts to downplay the matter and she promises the God of sleep - Hypnos, that she gives him a wife- the youngest from Charitky, nimble Pasitea, who he has been in love with for a longer time. And that got Hypnos as if his hands and legs have been tight. He goes to Zeus, hides and waits for a suitable moment. Then Hera appears. Zeus spots her and as a young bird tangles into the nets of a seductive woman. " As soon as he saw her, love shade his clever mind. As for the first time they hugged each other went to one bed, but behind their backs their parents" She is telling him that as an obedient wife she is coming to announce him, that she will leave for a short time, because she is going to visit parents: Okean an Tetida, to settle up their marital problem. The same excuse as Afrodita had.
When the omnipotent Zeus sees so dressed up and attractive, he seduces her to making love. Whilst he is omnipotent, he continues without abundant words and flattery: "Here, you can go to journey later, now let us go and let us enjoy the pleasure. No other woman or Goddess has ever attracted me like you." Then he cites the whole list of the most important seduced women, what he could have said more discreetly. But he is God and he speaks right:
Even when I loved Danea, who gave birth to Perseus, who is more than people, even when I loved girl, which was conceived by Phonecian , even when I loved Semele or Alkméne in Tébach, I love you most of all and I am attracted to you. /Ilias, XIV, verses 317-328/
In fact he could continue with the list further, he did not want to be wordy and what was curteous.
Hera listens and is quiet during an inappropriate manlike behaviour. She does not want to give up her plan: she even more ignites the desire of passionate lover, when she refuses to fulfill the marital duty on the hill of Ida, where he wanted to make love to her. All Gods would have seen her and she agrees only to make love in a bedroom with a secret padlock, which God smith made for them. Zeus does not want to wait any more, so he creates all needed conditions to reach his goal. Because he is the main God, nature is helping him as much as possible: "Godlike ground gave them soft lawn, saffron and hyacinth created soft carpet. They both lied on it and they covered with a beautiful golden cloud. /Ilias, XIV, verses 347-351/ After making love, the highest God falls into a deep sleep /then the Sleep enters/ and lets the foxy wife to abuse this situation and let win the party, whose side she has taken: "Now, Poseidon, help Danaians , give them fame just for a short while, until Zeus falls asleep./Ilias, XIV verses 357-358/
